FIRST DAY OF NOVEMBER

Hey all.    Hope this finds you all in the pink of things (or should I say WHITE?)  Was sure strange to see snowflakes falling from the sky yesterday.  And I must admit I didn't like it much either.  :(

Well this post is to share with you all the cards we will be makingon Monday night Nov 3rd, and Tues morning and evening, Nov 4th.

The penguin card is a spinoff of a card I did a long time ago at a cardmaking class I took somewhere down in the valley.   The paper is a pearlescent white,  and the snowflakes behind the penguin are glittered.    This is called a double pocket card and would hold a gift card or some cash if desired.
The pinebough is a direct case (copy and share everything)  of a card done by Cynthia Millan, Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.   Isn’t it just gorgeous?

The pointsetta card is another cased card and it was designed by Katrina Watts.  I just loved the layout of it and I had everything I needed to duplicate her card.  So I did it!

This card is called a box card and it is all the rage among cardmakers right now.  I had so much fun putting this one together.    I downloaded the template for the box from the internet and watched a video on YOU Tube to learn how to assemble the box.  Its hard to see in the picture by the snowflakes have been punch out glittered to the max.   The card folds up to fit into a regular sized card envelope.

and lastly, the winter scene card is very simple.  I used an embossing folder for the background,  masked off for the moon and sponged with blue ink.   I used a matching die for the village.   Lots of sponging on this card too.

The OPTIONAL project this week ------this adorable snowman.   He is made with 3 Pearsons mint patties.    A cute little gift for a teacher or maybe your hair dresser, or a co-worker you just want to remember with a little something at Christmas time.   If you want to do this project please let me know by Monday morning so I can have everything ready for you.   The cost is $2 and includes the candy, cardstock and cellophane envelope.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my first set of class Christmas cards.   The next set of cards will be done on Nov 17th and 18th.     5 more beautiful Christmas cards you will be proud to send to family and friends.   and the best thing is you made them yourself with loads of love.
So I will be back in a week or two to share those cards with you.     See you then.

and a Christmas card.   Another Pinterest inspiration.  $2 will get you a kit to make this fun die cut card.

And the last class of the year will be Saturday Nov 29th at 9:30 AM.   We will make 10 cards for the holidays.   The cost is just $12.  Sorry but at this low price, I can't include envelopes with the cards.    I will have them available for you at 10 cents each.  I need to know by Sat, Nov 22nd if you wish to attend this class.   The class is limited to only 20 students and there are only 5 openings left so email me and make your reservation soon.  If you are attending please bring a treat to share with the group.  Bottled water will be available or you may bring a drink of choice IN A COVERED CONTAINER PLEASE.

another fall splendor class

Hey stamping friends
How about that.   I am back posting to my blog again today.   Miracles never cease do they?  Well next week is another set of card making classes at Hobby Lobby and since it is the first full week of October, I thought I would run with the "fall" theme again.    Here are the cards we will be making Monday Oct 6th   5:15 PM   and again on Tues Oct 7th, at 9:30 AM and 5:15 Pm.   To see a closer view of each card, just click on the picture and a larger view will appear.    Hope you can join us.   The Tuesday night class is full but there is room for you in the Monday evening or Tuesday morning classes.  Just email me at kamperstampr@new.rr.com to reserve YOUR spot in on of the classes.
This card is done by stamping with bleach.   When dry, we will chalk over the bleached leaves.

I purchased this stamp set online on a stamp selling site through facebook.  Just loved this little guy and knew right away what to do with him.

I have had this stamp set since forever.   Never used it but thought it was time I showed this little spook some love and got him inky.    The background is a paper goody bag I picked up last year and never used.   I cut it up and used it for a background.   You just never know WHERE you are going to find items you can use on your cards.  :*)

This is a stamp set I bought this fall.   Thought it was so pretty and it reminded me of something from my childhood although I have yet to figure out what it was.  hmmmmm

I saw something similiar to this on Pinterest and decided to include it in this weeks cards.   Although it is bright and cheerful, I thought it worked for a sympathy card anyway.

Each class during October I will be offering an OPTIONAL project, a Christmas card this week.   The cost is $2.   Here is the card for next weeks classes.   It is a tri-shutter card, and is actually much easier to make than it looks.  If you wish to make this card, you must let me know by Sunday noon so I have time to cut the paper.  As you can see, there are LOTS of pieces to this one.

Well thats it for this time.   Hope you like the cards we are going to be making Monday and Tuesday and will be joining us.   Looking forward to seeing you.  HAPPY FALL YA'LL.

Another card class and samples

Hey there.   Hope this finds everyone feeling warm and snug considering tomorrow is the first day of Autumn.   Been kinda chilly here.   Our high today was only 66.   Should be 5-10 degrees warmer this time of year.
Well because tomorrow IS the first day of fall, our class card theme is Autumn Splendor.     We will be making 5 fall cards and an optional Christmas card.

and here is the Christmas card I am offering tomorrow.
It is a direct CASE from one done by Angie Leach whose website is toocoolstamping.com
this card looks much prettier in person.    Photographing it took alot away from it.   Maybe once my camera decides to work again I will take another picture of it and hopefully it will show more of the detail.   Anyway that is the cards for this weeks class.   There is one more I haven't photographed yet but will do so when I get some free time and post it.

Here we go again.

another LONG lull in my posting.  Again I am so sorry,(haven't we heard that line before?   I guess if i explain what has been happening in my life the last few months it MIGHT explain part of the reason I haven't been faithful in posting ( and then again maybe not.) sigh
The past few months have been extremely busy.  Between camping, teaching classes, taking care of the garden and flower beds, and taking care of my elderly mom, I barely have time for much else lately.   No promises this time to do better where the posting is concerned,  I will just try to do better from here on out.
I am teaching classes next week at Hobby Lobby.   Class dates are Monday night Sept 8th at 5:15 PM   and again on Tuesday morning Sept 9th at 9:30 and evening at 5:15 PM.   The theme this class is one sheet wonder.  Each person will receive a 7x7 piece of designer paper which they will cut in to several smaller pieces to create these 5 cards.   You can click on each card picture to see a close up view of it.    The cost for this class is $10 and each card includes an envelope.

In addition to the 5 cards, I will be offering an OPTIONAL Christmas card each class for $2.    If you wish to make it you will need to let me know that by this coming weekend.     Here is the card we will be making----------
For more information on attending my classes, see the column to the right.    Hope to see you at class next week.

MISSING IN ACTIONS FOR 3 MONTHS????

I am soooooo sorry.    Don't know where the time goes.  But taking care of my 93 yo Mom takes up alot of my time, and of course camping frequently, does too.   So this blog has been entirely neglected since April.  SHAME ON ME!
welll  lets give it another try.    No promises this time.   Just gonna start fresh today and take it from there.
I taught 2 classes in June so will share the pics of the cards we did today.
The first June class was Mens cards   some of these have been cased from cards I found on pinterst.

and the second class in June was called How'd she do that?   a technique class of sorts.  Starting with this class I offered a Christmas card in addition to the 5 regular cards.   So I added that picture in this group of pictures.

My next post will be sometime within the next week showing the cards we will be doing in the July Class on July 15th.  Until then keep smiling.

Sorry I have neglected this blog for so long. Today will be catchup time.

Life has been extremely crazy since the first of the year.   Family matters seem to have taken over the better part of my life and I seem to have time for my classes and thats about it.   My Moms husband (2nd) passed away a couple weeks ago so I have pretty much been there helping her and taking her places as needed, preparing meals for her, and cleaning her home.   Plus taking care of hubby and my home too.   Makes for a lot of running around like a chicken with my head chopped off.   And I don't see it slowing down anytime soon.  :(
So lets get down to the nitty gritty here.    Several of you have told me you miss seeing the card samples from my classes so today I will try to get them all posted up until yesterdays class.    SO here we go-----------
the class samples for March 4th.   The theme for this class was Welcome Spring

this is a technique that Gina K showed on Stamp TV.   I pretty much cased her card except that I used different stamps than she did.   Love the looks of this technique.

****************************************************
This is a   card I made for a stamp club I belong to.  It is a small group that meets once a month.   Each person creates a card, and brings enough supplies for each of us to do that card.   At the end of the evening we have a nice little assortment of cards  and shared techiques, ideas and chatter too.
*****************************************
Yesterday class theme  was SPRING OCCASIONS.  We made 2 Easter cards, 2 graduation cards and a wedding card.  Here are the samples.

Next class will be held April 15th.   We will be doing friendship cards.    Look to the right for the schedule if you are interested to taking a class.
