Card Samples for June 4th and 5th classes

This class we will be celebrating special occasions by doing 2 wedding cards, 2 baby cards and 1 graduation card.    Here are the 5 cards we will be making on June 4th and 5th.                                      First, the 2 baby cards.   The first one will be offered in either pink or blue.

and next the 2 wedding cards.

This card was inspired by Kris McIntosh

This card is a combination of 2 different wedding cake stamps.   The topper is from a different stamp, I just masked it and added the cake from Sweet N Sassy stamps.

and last but not least, a graduation card.
I pretty much cased this card except for a few small details, from Terry Blais.

Card Samples for Tues May 21st cardmaking class

Hey all
Here are the samples for next Tuesdays class.  There is still lots of room in both the morning and evening sessions.
First are 2 graduation cards,   one for a guy and one for a girl.

inspired by a card done by Anne Mataski.   I changed the size and shape of the card, and changed the greeting and background.   But basically I cased her card.

This card is a thinking of you card, and I used a technique I have not tried before.   You stamp the background of the top layer, then run through the Big shot with an embossing folder.  Thought it was a fun idea.

This card is a close copy of one shown on the Heartfelt Creations blog.   I have had this set for several months and thought I should really use it.

and this card is done using a fancy oval die cut and the rose is done using the Bitty Blossoms from Spellbinders.   The foliage is done with a punch, and a die.

To see dates and times for my classes, check the schedule to the right of this post.    Hope to see you Tuesday.

Sharing a card I made for a swap

Good morning all.    Just thought I would share a card with you that I did for a swap.   I subscribe to a yahoo group called Cuttlebugitis-Swaps over on Yahoo groups.    Every month we do a swap with a theme.  This time the theme was to use a sketch which the hostess provided, plus we had to add some type of embossing (either dry or heat embossing) to our card.    Here is the sketch we were given to follow--------
and here is what I did with it.
First time I used a sketch to create a card, and I must admit, it was both challenging and fun.
