Today I am posting MY LAST daily holiday inspiration of 2011 but rest assured I will do it again next year.    Here is todays holiday offering.

Holiday Inspiration Project for Saturday December 24th

It's Christmas eve, and we have snow on the ground for Christmas.  Yippee    We got about 2 inches last night and everything looks so clean and pristine. I LOVE the first snowfall, specially if I don't have to shovel it. LOL
Lots of little odds and ends things to do today to get ready for tonight.   Can't wait,   watching the grandkids open thier gifts has always been such a treat for me.
After gift opening, we all feast on dishes each family has prepared.   I am making Turkey slop on buns and I made my annual dish of smoked salmon spread.   Deb called last night and she is making her ever popular cheesy vegetable soup.  YUM    love that stuff.   Don't know what everyone else is bringing but we always have tons of yummy stuff to eat.
Now here is my holiday stamping idea for today. This is a card I offered in a class here at my house last year before I started teaching cardmaking at Hobby Lobby.   The class was called OVER THE TOP Christmas cards.   This is has lots of sparkle as the holly image is embossed with a sparkly gold embossing powder.
See you tomorrow morning with my LAST daily holiday posting for 2011.

Holiday Inspiration Project for Friday December 23rd

Its getting close guys.   Just one more day to Christmas eve.   Are you ready?   I have things pretty much under control as I write this.   Santa should arrive during the early evening tomorrow and then all of the kids, spouses and grand kids will be here to open gifts and be together.  It IS my favorite night of the year.
Now for todays holiday stamping project, I share with you my favorite  card I have made for Christmas that I have made.  Partially because its blue but mainly because I love the sponging of the color all around the card.  Hope you like it too!

Holiday Inspiration Project for Thursday December 15th

Todays holiday project is a card I made 2 years ago------using the pine tree from Stampin Ups Lovely as a Tree set.   The white "snow" you see is Tulips Puffy Paint.   I put a little where I wanted the snowy effect, sprinkled it with glitter while still wet, and heated it SLIGHTLY to puff it up.
Will be back tomorrow with another idea.    Have a great Thursday.

Holiday Inspiration Project for Monday Dec 12th

This is another item I made while I was a demo for Stampin Up.  I did this for a blog hop using the set Come to Bethlehem.   Its a wall hanging that fits nicely into the round box I made to fit it.   Sorry I DID NOT write down directions for how I made the box.   I just experimented til I got what I wanted.

Holiday Inspiration for Thurs, Friday & Sat, Dec 8, 9, & 10th

Whoa!  I am a few days behind!!!!   Don't know how that happened but today will be catch up day.   For Thursdays project I am sharing a metal clad candle, and gift box w tag that I made last year.  The metal is a sheet of thin metal that can be embossed, or die cut, or left plain.  In this case I used an embossing folder to give the metal some texture.
For Fridays project I am sharing a card I did when I was a SU demo.   I did case this card from someone as I loved the shadow box effect of the card.
and for todays project---------------this is a cute little folded hanging ornament I made yesterday using instructions I received from http://www.dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2011/12/paper-star-ornament-video-.html    Such an easy project but lots of wow factor.   I am thinking some bling here----maybe glitter or faux rhinestones.   What do you think?

Unfortunately my pictures are not real clear but I think you get the idea.   Now head on over the Dawns site and watch her video and learn how to make this.  You won't believe how quick and easy it really is!!!!!
And I will be back tomorrow with another holiday stamping idea.   Have a wonderful Saturday.

Holiday Inspiration Project for Sunday, December 4th

Todays share is one I did 2 years ago as gifts to the Cardmaking club I belong to.   The clear glass ornaments were decorated with rub ons from Stampin Up.  I placed some clear glue inside the ornament, and then added clear irredescent glitter.   When dry I replace the tops of the ornaments, and added ribbon and a bow on the hanger.
Have a great Sunday.   See you tomorrow with another holiday project!

Holiday Inspiration Project for Friday & Saturday Dec 2nd and 3rd

OH Boy   I missed yesterdays post.  So today you will see 2 samples for some holiday ideas.    I was busy shopping yesterday for furniture for our family room and completely forgot about posting here.   shame on me!    well today I will make up for it.
The first holiday stamping idea is one that i did a couple years ago using Stampin Ups Lovely as a tree.    I find myself using this set so often all year round.   I stamped the trees with black on the vellum, stamped the words with silver ink, then embossed with silver ep.   Next I turned the vellum over and using blue ink, I sponged the  back of the vellum randomly to give the appearance of clouds. I tore the bottom of the vellum and then punched the corners with the southwestern corner punch and added a silver brad in each corner.   Using a white gel pen, I added snowy accents to the trees.
The second card for today was done a couple years ago when I was still a SU demo.   I used the SU ornament stencil set from that years holiday mini to sponge glue ink onto white to create the ornament.  Then I used gold ink to sponge on the swirl.  I punched out an ornament top and added a little piece of gold cording for the hanger.
Well thats it for today.   Come back tomorrow for another holiday stamping idea.

Holiday Inspiration Project for Thursday December 1st

I received an order from Darlene at Dutch Paper Crafts yesterday and Buddy (I presume its her husband) snet a little "extra" goodie.   It was a sheet of images that were perforated so you could pop them out of the sheet.    I wish I could remember what the name of this technique is called.   YOu have a basic image and then you add additional layers of certain items of the image using thin foam to give lots of dimension to the finished image.   Here is what I created using the sheet of adorable critters I was given.   Someone asked me how long it took to make, because it looks labor intensive.  It took me less than an hour to create this.  I WAS going to send it out to someone for Christmas but I can't bear to part with it so it is on display in my living room. LOL   and here   is the card
I keep forgetting to tell you, and maybe you already know this, but you can see a larger view of my pictures just by clicking on the image.   See you tomorrow with yet another holiday project.

WOW  today is the LAST day of November.  Less than a month til Christmas.   How are you doing on your holiday preparations?   I have a way to go but not to worry-----I always manage to pull it all together by the afternoon of the 24th (we celebrate with our family that night here at our home)
Ok  enough chatter.    Todays holiday stamping inspiration project is a card I did last year.  It features a retired stamp set from Stampin Up but one of my favorite stamp sets of all time.   Hope  you like the card.
I'll be back tomorrow with another holiday idea.   Will you?    hope so!

Holiday Inspiration Project for Monday Nov 28th

Todays project is another cute little winter treat.    It consists of 3 peppermint patties (the little variety) and lots of punchies.    Simple to put together, each pattie has a circle taped to it, and then the details are added.   3 to a package creates an adorable little snowman treat.    See you tomorrow with another Christmas stamping idea.    Happy Monday!

Holiday Inspiration Project for Sunday, Nov 27th

Todays project is one I did 2 years ago in a Holiday Stamp Camp.   It is a wine glass votive and is so simple to make,    The shade is made of vellum.  We stamped the trees with versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.   Working from the BACK SIDE, we masked a spot for hte moon and sponged with yellow ink.   Then we used the punched out circle and covered the yellow moon so we could sponge blue ink all over the rest of the shade.    Scalloped the bottom edge and poked a little hole in each scallop.  We added a pretty blue ribbon around the stem of the glass, and a couple glittered snowflakes.    DO NOT use with real candles, the little battery operated votives are much safer when working with paper.
See you tomorrow with another holiday stamping idea.
